The deal, written to be read.

You must be 18 or older to create a LearnVai account. The account belongs to you, the parent or guardian, and every student profile under it is one you created.

Student profiles

You add each student yourself and affirm that you are their parent or guardian when you do. A student cannot sign themselves up.

You can give a student their own independent login by sending an invitation to an email address you choose; the invitation expires if it is not used. You can also mark a browser as a family device, which lets a student sign in with a short PIN on that device only.

Keeping the account secure

Keep your password to yourself, and do not let anyone outside your household use the account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into it. Activity under your account is treated as yours, which is one reason the parent view shows you what has been happening.

While LearnVai is in private beta

Sign-up currently requires a beta password, and the service is planned to open to everyone on September 1, 2026. During the beta, features may change or briefly stop working with less notice than we would give afterwards.

The current prices are on the pricing page, and that page is part of these terms. In short: $10 a month covers one student and one course, each additional student is $5 a month, and each course beyond the one included with a student is $5 a month.

Billing

Fees are billed monthly. If you add a student or a course partway through a month you are charged a partial fee for the days remaining, and the normal rate applies from your next billing date.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from your account. There is no annual contract and no cancellation fee.

If prices change

We can change prices, but not retroactively and not quietly.

Everything you put into LearnVai stays yours. Uploading a syllabus or a vocabulary list does not give us ownership of it, and it does not become ours to reuse.

The permission you give us

To make the product work at all we need permission to store your files, send their contents for AI processing, and generate practice, plans and progress from them — for your family’s account. That permission exists for that purpose and ends when you delete the material or the account. We do not use your uploads to build anything shared between families.

What you are telling us when you upload

Most of what goes into LearnVai was written by somebody else — a teacher, a textbook publisher, a curriculum vendor. By uploading it you are confirming you have the right to use it this way for your own student’s study. You know your school’s rules and your materials better than we do, so that judgement sits with you.

If a rights holder tells us material in an account should not be there, we will look into it and may remove it.

What happens to your material day to day — where it is stored, who processes it, how deletion works — is in the privacy policy.

LearnVai exists to get a student ready for what their class will ask of them. It is not a service for producing work that gets handed in.

You and your student agree not to use LearnVai to generate work submitted as the student’s own where that breaks the rules of their school, course or assessment. Those rules vary between schools and even between teachers, and they are the ones that govern — not ours.

What the product does about this today

Two things, and it is worth being precise about them because they are narrower than a promise.

Course Brain answers only from your own material. It works from the documents and notes in that course and says so plainly when the answer is not in them, rather than reaching for general knowledge. It is not a general-purpose writing tool, and it does not behave like one.

Conversation practice stays on the subject. A request that is not language practice — the stock example is help with a maths assignment — is redirected rather than answered.

What LearnVai does not do is judge intent. It cannot tell whether an answer is being read for understanding or copied into a worksheet. The parent view exists partly so that you can.

Also not allowed

Sharing an account outside your household, reselling access, trying to break or overload the service, scraping it, or uploading material that is illegal to hold.

Every question, quiz and study plan costs real money to produce, so each course carries an allowance on how much AI work it can use in a day and in a month. Normal studying does not come close to it; the cap exists so that one account cannot exhaust the service for everyone else.

If a course reaches its allowance, that course pauses AI features until the period resets. Nothing is deleted and nothing extra is charged automatically.

The AI gets things wrong. It works from material you uploaded, which helps a great deal, and it still makes mistakes — a date read off a blurry photo, a rule stated too confidently. Treat it as a study aid, check anything that matters, and do not rely on it as the only source for something that counts.

We do not promise a grade. No study tool can, and any that says otherwise is selling something.

We do not promise the service is always available. We will keep it running as well as we reasonably can, but there will be maintenance, and occasionally there will be failures.

The product will change. Features get added, altered and sometimes removed. If we remove something you are relying on, we will say so rather than let you discover it.

LearnVai is not a school, a teacher or a tutor, and it is not affiliated with your student’s school. It does not replace instruction and it makes no representation about meeting any curriculum standard.

Your side

Cancel the subscription whenever you want. Deleting the account is separate and stronger: it removes you and every student only you oversee, along with their documents, quizzes, notes and plans. The privacy policy sets out exactly what deletion removes.

Our side

We can suspend or close an account that is being used to break these terms, that is not being paid for, or that we are required to act on by law. Except where the problem is serious or urgent, we will tell you what the issue is and give you a chance to fix it before closing anything.

This section allocates legal risk, and it is the part of these terms that a lawyer has to write rather than adapt. It is left deliberately unfinished rather than filled with boilerplate that has not been checked against the law where LearnVai actually operates.

If these terms change we will post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change materially affects what you are agreeing to, we will email the account address before it takes effect rather than relying on you noticing.

Continuing to use LearnVai after a change takes effect means you accept the new version. If you do not, cancelling is always available.
