One limit: a student's course can be changed once every 30 days. Setting up a course means indexing everything in it, which is the most expensive thing we do, so it isn't something to flip back and forth. In practice 30 days sits well inside how school actually works — classes change at a term boundary, not mid-week — and we'll confirm before any switch so a course can't be replaced by accident.
