For parents
Your part, about ten minutes to enroll your student
Parents set up account, enroll their student and start uploading what comes home in the backpack. After that the studying is your student’s job and yours is looking at how it is going — on the same screen they use, not a parent dashboard that flatters you.
- You hold the account
- You see what they see
- No nightly supervision
- No language of your own required
Who does what
Three jobs, and only one of them is yours
- Parents
- Create the account, add your student, upload the syllabus and whatever else comes home. Add a note when something changes — the quiz moved, the teacher marks accents hard. Then look at it once a week.
- Students
- The actual studying. They sign in as themselves and do short sessions on their own. Nobody has to sit beside them, and there is no evening where the whole thing depends on you being free.
- LearnVai
- The drilling, the scheduling and the marking. Working out which words are shaky, when to bring them back, and what the week should look like given the date of the next test.
What you see
The same four cards your student opens
-
This week
Monday to Sunday, what is still to do, how many sessions have happened against how many the plan asked for, and how long the next test is away — “is today”, “is in five days”.
-
Course context
What the app knows about this class, how many files it has read, and the first gap worth filling. If practice looks generic, this card usually says why.
-
Study history
What they have actually completed and how it went. You can open an individual result and see the questions, not just a score at the end of a row.
-
Suggested notes
Facts the app spotted about the course and wants confirmed before it acts on them. This is the one card that genuinely wants you rather than your student.
One screen, not two
There is no separate parent report
Parents view of your student and their own dashboard are the same screen, built from the same code. The plain reading of this is worth being clear about: you can see everything in your student’s account for that course, including what they have asked the tutor. Nothing is hidden from you — and nothing about their view is hidden from them either.
Progress
Not a percentage. The actual words.
Once there is enough finished work, LearnVai writes two short summaries: what is going well and what needs improvement. Feedback is written to your student in the second person with specifics because a % has never told a student or parent what to work on to improve.
What you control
It is your account, and it behaves like it
-
Who is in the family
Add each student yourself. Invite a second parent or guardian and they see exactly what you see; it is one family account, not a copy of it.
-
How they get in
Give a student their own login by email, or set a PIN they use on a device you have marked as the family’s.
-
Which courses exist
Add and remove courses, and switch which one a student is currently working in.
-
What is kept
Delete a document, remove a student, or close the account. Cancelling is a button, not an email or call to somebody.
Questions
What parents ask before they sign up
Do I need to speak the language?
No. Uploading files, adding dates and reading the progress summaries are all in English.
How much of my time does this really take?
About ten minutes to set up a course, then a few minutes a week — uploading homework that came home and glancing at the week card.
Can I see everything my student does?
Yes. The week, the course context, the study history and individual results are all on your view of them, and you can open the course chat and read what they have asked.
Will it do their homework for them?
It is not built to, and it does not behave like a general-purpose AI. The tutor answers only from the material in that course, so it is a poor tool for producing an essay and a good one for drilling what the essay will be marked on.
It also cannot read intent, so it is not a guarantee — which is part of why you can see what they have been doing. Using it to produce work that gets handed in is against the terms, and against most schools’ rules.
My student is not exactly self-motivated.
Then be honest with yourself about what software can fix. LearnVai makes studying shorter, more targeted and less dependent on a parent. It does not make a fifteen-year-old want to study.
What it deliberately avoids is manufactured pressure: there are no streaks to break and no notifications nagging them. Ten minutes on the right words, most nights, is the bet — and the week card tells you honestly whether it is happening.
Can both parents have access?
Yes. Invite the second adult by email and they see the same students, courses and tools.
What happens to what we upload?
It lives in your family’s account and is used to teach your student. You can delete a file, or the whole account, whenever you want. The privacy policy sets out who processes it and what deletion removes.
What does it cost?
$12.99 a month for one student and one course. Billed monthly, cancel any time — check out our pricing page.
