The problem
The same Thursday night.
The test is tomorrow. The vocabulary list is somewhere in a backpack. What actually happens is forty minutes of reading a list top to bottom, which is not an effective to study a language — and in two weeks it happens again.
What makes LearnVai different
LearnVai studies your student's class before it teaches the material.
Take a picture of the syllabus, the vocabulary list, or packet from the teacher and simply click upload button. LearnVai indexes all of the information into Course Context, and everything LearnVai teaches comes from inside your student's course context.
What it does
Four things doing the work.
-
Course Context
Everything you upload becomes one body of knowledge for that class, and the tutor teaches only from inside it.
-
Practice that adapts
Vocabulary returns on a schedule set by how well they know it. Shaky words come back tomorrow, solid ones wait a week.
-
Plans aimed at a date
Add the quiz date and it schedules backward across the days available, weighting the weakest material as the date gets closer.
-
Practice that looks like the test
If the quiz is fill-in-the-blank, you practice fill-in-the-blank. Matching, translation, short answer: it drills the format you’ll actually see.
The setup
Four steps. You take the first one.
Parent's set up an account in less than 10 minutes. After that, your student logs in and the work is theirs.
-
Create the account, add your student
You set up the account and add each student with the language and level they’re taking. Students log in as themselves, and parents keep the keys.
-
Upload what the teacher handed out
Your student snaps a photo of the syllabus, vocab list, or packet and uploads it. That becomes the course LearnVai teaches from.
-
Add the test dates that matter
They enter the quiz or test date, and LearnVai works backward to build a study plan. The studying gets spread across the week instead of piled into the night before.
-
Practice for the test, not just the topic
Short sessions on the current unit, in the same format as the quiz. You can check in anytime to see which words and concepts aren’t sticking yet.

For the student
What your kid actually sees.
No dashboard to learn and no streak nagging them back into the app at eleven at night. They open it, get ten minutes of the words they’re shakiest on, and close it.
It’s built around the reality that a high schooler will do a short session before bed and will not do a forty-minute one. The goal is that studying stops being an event they have to be nagged into.
The alternatives
What you're probably using now.
- A free chatbot
- Knows the language. Doesn't know your students class — so it drills vocabulary they haven't reached and skips what the teacher spent a week on in the classroom.
- A flashcard app
- Right idea, and the repetition science is sound. Does not remember what your student misses, give tips for improvements, and build a study guide for advancements.
- A human tutor
- Excellent option, and priced like it. Most of the hour focusses on drills that doesn't need a person in the room.
- LearnVai
- Takes the teacher's own materials, does the drilling and the scheduling, and tells you what isn't sticking. Families who can afford a tutor often want both — this makes that hour worth more.
Questions
What parents ask first.
What does it cost?
Start learning for $12.99/month per student. Full pricing details can be found on our pricing page.
Does it only work for Spanish?
No, LearnVai currently supports High School (or Middle School) Spanish (1, 2 & 3), French (1, 2, & 3) and German (1, 2 & 3). Other subjects will be added in the near future.
Will my student use it to cheat?
Requests to produce work that gets turned in are declined, and LearnVai offers practice on the same concept instead. No system is perfect, which is part of why parents can see what students have been studying.
Do I need to speak the language?
No. Your side is uploading files and entering dates. Everything in your view — progress, weak spots, what's coming up — is in English.
What happens to the documents I upload?
Materials live in your family's account and are used to teach your student. You can delete a file, a course, or the whole account, whenever you want.
